The killer for you is the number of seats. One seat is so much easier than two but I can only imagine how hard 4 must be!

Hi Jon, yes ... keep an eye on Point Hacks. You'll probably do better with Velocity Points so Singapore Airlines. Cyprus (my partner is from there!). So basically last year we went to London to see family - October is a great time as the summer is over but October is fantastic in Cyprus the weather is perfect! We went London to Adelaide for 74,000 one way two of us. There was availability. You could also fly to Singpore and catch a one way Emirates from Singapore to Athens for around $2000 one way per person. I usually fly to Singpore, then book Singapore to Europe return on Emirates, then fly Singapore to Australia separately home. That's what we are doing this year as we are going in August. Do you have a lot of Velocity points?

Try booking 2 lots of 2 seats. I had the same issue trying to book reward flights for four people, but when I broke it down to two bookings x two seats at a time, somehow it worked?! When I had four people in my search, NO low reward points seats showed up AT ALL, but as soon as I changed it to two, they magically appeared! Madness, I know, but worth a shot!

You've done it again. The subject line of this email alert was "Fly First Class to London". The email itself is headed, "London 58,900 - 299,300 Points, One Way". Once again, what route, operated and/or marketed by Qantas or Virgin to "London", from "Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide" is priced at 59K points in "First Class"?

The points range you mentioned is included in the email and reflects the range across all available cabin classes. We’ve recently started showing availability across all cabins, and the points range is intended to give readers a quick overview of what may be required.

I am a 12 year platinum member with Velocity and i have been unable to get a business class fare to Europe for under 1.2 million velocity points each way since covid... Very disappointing.

I've literally wasted about 3 h going back and forth to Virgin and I cannot find a single flight to London in business class that comes anywhere near the points figures mentioned. Even though flights are actually shown as available, I can select everything on Points Hacks, go to Virgin and nothing is there.

We’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble with our calendar, and we hope you’re able to lock in your flights soon.

More often than not, Virgin will display its pricier codeshare options above reward seat flights, so you may need to scroll further down the results page to find the reward seats.

If you’re not clicking through directly from the booking link in the calendar and going to the Virgin website directly instead, we also recommend searching for both London Gatwick (LGW) and London Heathrow (LHR), as the Virgin website will only show availability for the specific airport entered in the search.
