Earn 300 Status Credits - Qantas Points Status Run (Advanced)

Our recommendation for an advanced status run

Starting from Newcastle

Looking to really level up your status, or simply wanting to get the best value for your points? Then this advanced status run is for you!

You’ll need to combine lots of flights over a couple of days - but you can get a great trip (or two) in Business Class!

If you can find Business Class availability throughout the year, you can book this run! You might find it easier to look for Business Class to Queenstown first, and then plan around that.

Important information

For itineraries that include an international sector, all connecting flights must have no layover longer than 24 hours in order to be priced on the combined distance flown. You can view the Qantas Classic Flight Rewards table here for distance and pricing.

Status Credits are earned per flight sector and can be calculated using the Qantas Status Credit earn table, which outlines the accrual rates for Points Club and Points Club Plus members.

Points Club & Points Club Plus members are only eligible to earn status credits on Qantas & Qantas Link marketed and operated Classic Reward flights.
